InTouch Software Part 1

 

Course description
The InTouch Software – Part 1is a 4-day, instructor-led class designed to provide a fundamental
understanding of the basic principles of the Wonderware visualization module. The purpose of this
course is to give you the knowledge necessary to develop a Human Machine Interface (HMI)
system for your specific plant floor environment using basic InTouch elements. The course uses a
number of hands-on labs to reinforce concepts and features.

 

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

      • Create Stand Alone and Managed InTouch applications
      • Use WindowMaker to create windows and manipulate objects
      • Create and import tags, and use the Tagname Dictionary
      • Define animation links and generate SmartSymbols
      • Use the scripting editor to create QuickScripts
      • Add alarm functionality to an application
      • Insert an ArchestrA Symbol into an Managed InTouch application
      • View user data in real-time and retrieve data from historical archives
      • Establish communications with I/O aware programs; configure and troubleshoot I/O and DA servers
      • Implement InTouch security in an application 
      • Backup and application
      • Develop a Human Machine Interface (HMI) application for your specific plant floor environment using basic InTouch elements.

 

Audience
Plant floor operators and managers, system administrators, system integrators, and other
individuals who need to use the InTouch HMI in manufacturing processes.

 

Prerequisites
The prerequisites for this course are: 

      • Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems 
      • At least 8 hours of hands-on experience with InTouch software 
      • Manufacturing industry experience
