This month, we would like to introduce Whitney Robertson, InSource Solutions Order Processing Specialist.
Whitney was born in Williamsburg, Virginia and moved to Richmond, Virginia before starting high school.
Located in the Richmond office, Whitney has been with InSource Solutions for one year and seven months. She does the shipping, receiving, and purchasing for InSource. She likes working at InSource because she enjoys her colleagues and because the commute takes about 8 minutes!
Whitney is currently attending Art Institute Online to earn a degree in Graphic Design. She started out at Virginia State University for accounting, but decided she didn't want to crunch numbers as her career.
In her free time, she enjoys shopping, eating, sleeping, listening to music, and spending time on Facebook and MySpace. She also likes to travel and says that Freeport, Bahamas is like a second home to her.

Advantech has released a new DIN-rail Mounted Embedded Automation Computer, the UNO-1150. The UNO-1150 provides several serial communication ports and Ethernet interfaces. 
The UNO-1150 is designed in a compact size, with a small foot print, and help to saves space. Its accessible front is very convenient for wiring and DIN-rail design for easy installation in a field cabinet. BradCommunications SST New Profibus Generation 3 Communication Module for Rockwell Automation ControlLogix PLCs
Connect ControlLogix controllers to Profibus networks! 
BradCommunications SST Profibus module connects your Rockwell ControlLogix® controller to Profibus network. Acting as a Profibus Master or Slave, the SST module can be used in a wide variety of industrial applications including: Petro-chemical, Food and Beverage, Automotive, Complex Machine, HMI/Scada/DCS, etc.
Molex has announced the release of a new version of the BradCommunications™ SST™ Profibus communication module for the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix PLC.
The new version features:

The module is up to 2 times faster, with respect to data exchange, between the PLC CPU and the Profibus network
-
The module may now be inhibited and configured while the processor is in RUN mode. This new behavior allows the Profibus configuration to be changed without putting the PLC in PROG mode
-
The module may be run without ladder code. If the proper bit is set in the configuration file, the module will automatically go online without waiting for the ladder logic to put it online. By default, the module’s behavior is the same as the existing behavior

The module can set slave addresses on Profibus
-
The module can dynamically add/remove Profibus slaves from the scan list
The new modules are fully supported in the existing SST Backplane software toolset.
