InSource Software Solutions was formed in 1997 when it was spun off from Control Corporation of America (CCA), formerly Harmon Commonwealth Corporation, a $50 million Siemens Automation distributor.

• 1997: InSource Software Solutions is spun off from CCA as a separate entity to focus on Software & Hardware for Manufacturing Information Solutions.
• 1998: InSource consolidates field operations (administration, inside sales, order entry, technical support) into Richmond headquarters. Facilities remain in Baltimore, Atlanta and Tampa, and are staffed with sales and service personnel.
• 2002: The InSource senior management team buyout of InSource’s majority owner.
• 2003: InSource acquires SoftCell Inc to expand operations into North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and part of Kentucky. An Employee Stock Ownership Program is established.
• 2004: Wonderware awards InSource additional West Virginia territory.
• 2007: Introduced I2 Infrastructure & ATC Consulting business units.
• 2008:  Launched Wonderware Southeast as a subsidiary company.

Today, InSource is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, which is the home to our Operations, Customer Service, and Technical Support Hot Line activities. InSource has approximately 65 employees and operations in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, West Virginia and Florida. Hands-on, state of the art, training facilities are located in our Baltimore, Richmond, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Memphis offices.
