Wonderware Announces Availability of IntelaTrac V3.2 Mobile Workforce & Decision Support System

On October 7th, Wonderware announced the availability of Wonderware IntelaTrac version 3.2, the latest version of its mobile workforce and decision support system. The Wonderware IntelaTrac system includes configurable software and ruggedized mobile hardware solutions that enable workflow, procedural and general task management capabilities focused on plant operations, maintenance management, production tracking and compliance applications.
The Wonderware IntelaTrac system is designed to accelerate and sustain operational process improvements and is a key component of an effective operational management system. It can be operated using Smartphones, PDAs, rugged handheld computers, laptops and PCs to enhance the productivity of mobile workers. The system is designed to provide benefits to Wonderware customers by offering improved operational performance and reliability, cost-effective compliance processes for health, safety and environmental requirements, and consistent execution of best business practices by a mobile workforce.
The integration of IntelaTrac into the Wonderware portfolio is the first significant result of the recent acquisition of SAT Corp. in August 2008. The acquisition enhances the ability of Wonderware to offer mobile solutions that help drive operational excellence for its customers.
“The pursuit of operational excellence, whether in a manufacturing or service environment, has become a mantra of businesses worldwide,” said Mike Pring, general manager of Wonderware mobile solutions states. Mobile information technology is enabling new and innovative ways to drive consistency, efficiency and safety, resulting in operating improvements that can make a measurable difference in the competitiveness of our customers.”
Wonderware IntelaTrac is structured around a suite of components, which include software, hardware, secure wireless infrastructure and RFID technology. Wonderware IntelaTrac version 3.2 offers simplified integration with multiple backend systems including SAP, Maximo, and data historians from Wonderware, AspenTech, OSIsoft and Honeywell.
The latest product suite is designed to offer several key features important to the productivity of a mobile workforce in today’s competitive business environment. The Procedure Builder tool defines and develops standard procedures which then are used to identify inspection rounds. The updated Schedule Manager provides the ability to streamline the scheduling of procedures and review the status of procedures, past or future. It also evaluates detailed statistics on each procedure instance via the same user interface. In addition, Wonderware IntelaTrac 3.2 Web Reports have been updated with the availability of new standard Procedure Completion reports.
Wonderware IntelaTrac runs on ruggedized mobile devices, and is an ideal solution for field operators. Operators are provided a list of procedures that are scheduled and filtered by area and role. An operator is then presented with a list of tasks to be addressed and completed using either a Bluetooth-connected peripheral device, such as a vibration probe or heat gun, or a virtual keyboard, pen or other input device. Other key production features include Auditor Plus, which provides the ability for management review and approval of work completed and features special summary levels.
For more information about Wonderware IntelaTrac or any other Wonderware product, please contact your Wonderware Southeast Account Executive for more information or the marketing department at

ATC Consulting Introduces Enterprise Events Module Ready-to-Go Solution
Would it be helpful to your plant’s success to capture how much scrap line 1 is creating versus line 2 based on the shift, use that information to generate a real-time web based report showing the dif
ference, and empower your production staff with that information to make quick decisions based on fact?
Would you like to monitor machine runtimes with added metrics such as vibration, temperature, and amps to facilitate preventative maintenance work orders?
Would it be helpful to your organization to definitively know your equipment’s mean time between failures and use that information to reduce preventative maintenance costs?
Sounds great! But do you have the time or the personnel to put a solution in place to handle these issues?
The Enterprise Events Module (EEM) developed by InSource Solutions was created to make the above issues easy to handle and quick to implement. With the EEM Ready-To-Go solution, these issues and other scenarios surrounding capturing, historizing, and reporting on events, typically requiring specialized coding, become easy to manage. The Enterprise Events Module Ready-To-Go solution includes installation, training, and help with configuration to get you up and running quickly.
For more information about the EEM Ready-to-Go solution, contact your local Wonderware Southeast Account Executive or the marketing department at marketing@insourcess.com. For more information about the Enterprise Events Module, click here to download the Enterprise Events Module V2 Brochure.
